David Last weds Alison Finbow

David Last managed to squeeze one special event into his busy schedule when he was married today, Saturday, 7th April 2001.

His bride Alison, the daughter of dance teachers Michael and Sylvia Finbow (seen with them below), maintained the tradition of arriving a few minutes late.

They were married in the 16th century church of St Mary the Virgin, Helmingham, Suffolk.

Although David is often seen playing several keyboards at once, he was a little too busy to play today, so the music was left in the capable hands of his friend, the organist from St Mary Le Tower, Ipswich.

The hymns included, of course, "Lord of The Dance" and with Suffolk currently free from foot and mouth disease, the incidental music during the signing of the register was "Where Sheep May Safely Graze".

There's no time for an exotic honeymoon, David is playing for a dance in Wiltshire next Saturday.
